Custom Jewellery Process

We know that sometimes the custom jewellery process might seem overwhelming or intimidating. Sometimes, it may be the first time you’re making a large purchase of a piece of jewellery. We know how important it is to get it right. Our approach is transparent and honest so that you can feel confident in your decisions. Our goal is to make the process easy and fun!

Every day we go to work and create heirloom quality jewellery. We are trained jewellery professionals with decades of experience creating custom jewellery. It is our love and our passion and we look forward to sharing it with you!

Custom Jewellery Process:

1. Consultation & Quotes

We’ll start with a complimentary consultation to talk about your custom jewellery ideas while keeping in mind your budget, lifestyle and preferences. To prepare for this consultation you may want to collect any images you would like to use for inspiration and have a think on what kind of metal and gemstones you prefer.

Following our consultation we will send you a meeting summary and quote, often with multiple options. We will be collaborating together one-on-one to ensure that you are confident each step of the way.

The consultation establishes the initial framework for the design and the next step is to source gemstones. We ask for a $250 non-refundable sourcing fee at this time . This fee will be deducted from your total balance.

2. Stone Selection & Deposit

Following our consultation, if you decide that you would like to move forward, our team will start sourcing gemstones through our trusted network of gemstone and diamond suppliers.  Our team curates a selection of impeccable quality gemstones to show to you so that you can select the one that speaks to you.

After you have selected your perfect gemstone we will request a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total to start finalizing the design and begin production on your ring. We will send you a deposit invoice that you can pay online via credit card or e-transfer. If you prefer, you can also pay the deposit in person.

3. Design Review & Approval

We will share digital mocks ups with you via email (called CAD renderings) and, together, we will explore and refine the design(s) that speak to you. Any necessary tweaking of small details can still be made at this point.

Our clients find this very helpful because it enables you visualize your ring and make any changes before giving your final approval.

4. Production & Completion

Once you approve the final design production begins! Your design is cast in metal and finished by our expert goldsmiths with careful attention to detail. Then your gemstones are expertly set.

The most exciting step – your beautiful piece is ready! The outstanding balance will be settled at the time of pick up or delivery. All of our rings come with an appraisal, beautiful jewellery box, free ring sizing within one size and complimentary cleanings & assessments for life. Our engagement rings also come with a custom cleaning kit to keep it shining bright.
