As a child, Melissa grew up on a farm and loved exploring the fields and woods. Occasionally, she would find the relic of an old wild bee hive. The Meli Collection is inspired by the rustic natural beauty of those abandoned honeycombs.

Each piece starts as a handcut piece of wax that is then cast in sterling silver using the lost wax casting process.

She had decided to create a production line of coffee bean jewellery. Because there are no short cuts in school she had to carve her coffee beans from scratch out of wax rather than simply casting a real coffee bean. This coffee bean line has proved an enduring favourite with our clients!

Is it boat season yet?

The inspiration from one of our owners: “For as long as I can remember my family have been boating on Lake Erie. Some of my fondest memories of childhood are on my uncle’s boats, swimming along side as they socialized and then watching the sun set on our trip home. And when I met my husband I found his family had a long tradition of boating as well. We now take our son out on the lake at the cottage and give him a chance to steer as our dog stands as our masthead.”
